$3.5 million Lotto 6/49 winner from Mission to share winnings with family20/07/2016
Catherine Webb doesn’t get phased easily, so she was surprised at her reaction to winning $3.5 million on the July 13, 2016 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“I said ‘oh my god’ and I physically shook,” recalled Webb. “It was mind boggling. This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me!”
Webb is looking forward to sharing the big news and a portion of her winnings with her two daughters.
“I’m going to help out our youngest daughter and buy her a townhouse,” beamed Webb. “And I’m going to gift my other daughter the cash equivalent.”
Webb wants to buy herself a new computer but will hold off any making any big purchases for now.
“This buys my husband and I freedom and security,” smiled Webb. “We can take our time to plan the future and help other people along the way.”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Walmart in Mission. This marks the second big win from Mission in as many weeks! Last week, Philip Barkley of Mission won $675,000 playing Set for Life.
