PlayNow.com releases full list of Super Bowl and Oscar odds

26/01/2015

With two major entertainment events in the next few weeks, PlayNow.com has released their annual lists of Super Bowl and Academy Awards betting favourites.

More bets are placed each year on the Super Bowl than on any other individual sports event. It is estimated that $10 billion is wagered globally with over 200 million people placing bets on the game. Last year, players in B.C. wagered approximately $350,000 on Super Bowl through BCLC.

Super Bowl and Oscars are the two most popular events for props and novelty bettors due to the marketing hype, the connection to pop culture and the entertaining storylines. Novelties capture almost any speculation around sports, arts, sciences or any other special-interest subject.

Super Bowl odds have the Seattle Seahawks currently favoured by 1 point over the New England Patriots.

Early Academy Awards betting favourites have Boyhood to win Best Picture, Michael Keaton for Best Actor and Julianne Moore to take home the Oscar for Best Actress.
