Coquitlam resident is ‘Set for Life’

Carmela Sacchetti didn’t believe it at first when she discovered she won a whopping $675,000 playing Set for Life.

“I had to go back to the store and check my ticket on the machine. The screen got so bright and that’s when I knew it was real,” exclaimed Sacchetti.

Sacchetti has been playing Set for Life for over 20 years and describes the win as a dream come true.

“I am so happy because this feels just like a dream. I don’t want to wake up from this dream,” said Sacchetti.

The first thing Sacchetti plans to do with her money is pay off her mortgage, and then share it with her family.

“I have four kids and three grandkids,” Sacchetti proudly said. “My family means everything to me, and I am so glad I can finally give them some money and help them!”

Will Sacchetti continue playing Set for Life now that her Scratch & Win dream has come true?

“Yes! I am going to keep playing for fun. Why not, right?” laughed Sacchetti.

The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased at Save on Foods in Coquitlam.
