Longtime player now Set for Life!

Elsie Farrel of Endako, B.C. has been playing Set for Life since 2000 when the game began. Her routine includes buying six tickets every Friday and scratching them the following Wednesday. That routine paid off when she scratched her way to $675,000 thanks to one of the tickets she purchased on March 14.

“As soon as I saw that I won, I put my ticket in a drawer right away,” Farrel recalls. “I didn’t tell anyone about the win. I wanted to confirm it with the retailer.” She waited two months to return to the lottery kiosk in Burns Lake Mall where the ticket was purchased to verify the win. “I was calm as the terminal froze because I already knew I was a winner!” she grins.

“I just had a feeling that something good was going to happen,” Farrel says thoughtfully. “And I will continue to play Set for Life; I really enjoy the game.”

The decision for Farrel, who is retired, was an easy one and she chose the lump sum of $675,000 as her prize. She is already planning a trip with her husband to England and Holland to visit family.

The Set for Life Scratch & Win game offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years or $675,000.
