Retiree ready to travel now that she’s Set for Life

When scratching her lottery tickets, Shoko Saito likes to chant ‘cash, cash, cash’ to herself, in the hopes one day that chant will come true. A few days after receiving a free play ticket last week, the dream became a reality as she uncovered three matching symbols on her Set for Life Scratch and Win ticket!

The retired Vancouver resident, a regular Scratch & Win player, quickly decided to take the lump sum payment of $675,000. “I have never seen a winning ticket like this before. I kept checking again and again to make sure I had really won!” she said in disbelief.

Saito was given a complimentary Set for Life ticket at Edgewater Casino in late May but waited a few days before sitting down to scratch the ticket. “I love Scratch & Win tickets so I was very happy when I was given this one,” she smiled. “This is the first time I have uncovered three ‘cash’ symbols! I can’t believe it!”

After careful consideration Saito plans to put some of her winnings towards her grandchildren’s education before treating herself to some travel. “I don’t know where I’ll go yet, but I’m excited!”

The Set for Life Scratch & Win game offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years or $675,000.
