Dan Flett wins $675,000 with Set for Life Scratch & Win

Set for Life player picks jackpot winning ticket

26/08/2014

New Westminster resident Dan Flett knows how to pick a winning Scratch & Win ticket. He bought the ticket that caught his eye, which proved to be a $675,000 jackpot winner!

“There were all green Set for Life tickets on the counter and only one blue ticket,” recalls Flett. He, of course, bought the blue one.

Flett scratched the ticket at home. When he uncovered three “CASH” symbols, he had to study the ticket about five or six times to make sure his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him. He called his friend right away to let him know he’d won big!

Flett called BCLC and the representative told him there were 10 winners left on this game. He responded back, “Well, there are only 9 winners left on this game now!”

He decided to take the lump sum option, and is going to bank the money for now. He is also planning to go to the casino and may “splurge” and play a $1 Slot Machine.

The winning ticket was purchased at Alberto Pharmacy on Commercial Drive in Vancouver.

The Set for Life Scratch & Win game offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years or $675,000.
