Delta man to pay it forward with $1 million Lotto 6/49 win23/10/2015
Delta resident Vincent Gnitt is still seeing zeros after discovering he won the Guaranteed $1 Million prize on the January 6, 2016 Lotto 6/49 draw
“I checked my ticket yesterday and all I could see was zeros while the machine played a little song,” recalled Gnitt. “And that song solidified to me how much I had won!”
Gnitt won $168 on Lotto 6/49 last week and figured that would be his big win, but in this case, he is happy to have been wrong.
“I can’t think of myself as a major lottery winner because it hasn’t completely sunk in yet,” said Gnitt.
As for how he will spend her winnings, Gnitt has big plans to share the wealth with his daughters.
“This win will allow me to ensure my family is taken care of,” smiled Gnitt. “Seeing my daughters enjoy the riches will be my joy.”
Gnitt's daughters were with him when he discovered he won big and the family celebrated the win instantly.
“My granddaughter took the first $30 out of my million when she ordered a pizza for the family to celebrate,” laughed Gnitt.
The winning ticket was purchased at Safeway on 120th Street in Surrey
Every time a lottery ticket is purchased in B.C., it funds programs across the province.
