Vancouver Resident Wins Record Keno Prize in B.C.

Vancouver resident Susan Jenkins is in a state of shock and disbelief after winning a record-breaking $400,000 Keno & Keno Bonus retail prize, matching ten out of ten numbers on July 20, 2018.

Jenkins bought a Quick Pick ticket at her local convenience store – Hasty Market in Vancouver – and then drove home and looked the numbers up on, at which point she realized the ticket was a winner.

“The first person I called was my boyfriend, then my mom and kids,” she said. “They were all so happy for me….we were all kind of freaking out!”

Jenkins says she will treat herself by enjoying more of her favourite activities, such as golfing, boating and travelling. She also plans to save for retirement and her children’s education.

“I have one word to describe this win,” she beamed, “Exhilarating!”

This is the largest Keno prize ever won at a retail location in B.C. The largest-ever Keno prize, won online through, was $500,000 on the May 15, 2013 draw.

Keno is a B.C.-only lottery game drawn every three and a half minutes. Players match up to 10 numbers from 20 numbers drawn from a field of 80 to win.
