Whistler winner to host second Thanksgiving dinner after Set for Life win

Arnel Egido had a Thanksgiving weekend he’ll never forget after winning $675,000 playing Set for Life.

“Winning is an indescribable feeling,” exclaimed Egido. “I’m going to gather my close friends and family for a second Thanksgiving dinner!”

The health sciences student says the win will take the pressure off his educational pursuits.

“It’s great I can now pursue my education without worrying about finances.”

Egido also plans to share some of his winnings with his family, here and abroad.

“I’m going to help my parents with their mortgage,” smiled Egido. “I’m also going to help out my grandmother in the Philippines, and my cousins there with their schooling.”

The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased at the Whistler Marketplace Rexall.
