$25.9 million Burnaby Lotto Max winner to share winnings with family

Marcello Battiston of Burnaby has 25.9 million reasons to feel good after winning a whopping $25.9 million on the March 10, 2017 Lotto Max draw.

“I feel good about it,” exclaimed Battiston. “I have more than enough money to live comfortably and help the family!”

Battiston is still shocked he won the big jackpot, and recalls the moment he found out like it was yesterday.

“I asked the clerk who checked my ticket, ‘did I win $5?’” smiled Battiston. “The clerk said, ‘No! You won the whole pot!”’

Battiston is looking forward to enjoying the winnings with his family, and is planning a trip with his wife to Hawaii.

The winning ticket was purchased at International News in Brentwood Mall in Burnaby.
