Abbotsford father gets $1 million dollar lottery birthday surprise

Nachhattar Dhaliwal received a call from his son on his birthday that he will remember for a long time. His son Manjinder was checking their Lotto Max ticket at a local store and had a $1 million surprise for his father.

“Manjinder called me from the store to say we won,” exclaimed Nachhattar. “I went down there right away and started to sing when I arrived. What a great birthday!”

Nachhattar and Manjinder Dhailwal won a $1 million Maxmillions prize on the September 22, 2017 Lotto Max draw.

It’s safe to say the birthday celebration was a memorable one for Nachhattar and his family, and the celebrating doesn’t stop there.

“I can celebrate for the rest of my life,” laughed Manjinder. “I’m going to start by taking the whole family on a trip to India!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Otter Co-op Blue Jay Gas Bar in Abbotsford.
