B.C.’s Newest Lotto 6/49 Millionaire is No Joke04/04/2018
British Columbia’s newest millionaire is no joke – despite her family’s disbelief on April Fool’s Day, when she told them she had the winning ticket for the $7 million jackpot from the Lotto 6/49 draw on March 28.
Delta resident Christina Sevenoaks said she felt overwhelmed, excited and happy all at once when she found out that she had won the “life changing” jackpot.
“I could barely make out the words when I called my husband to share the news,” she said. “It was like an out-of-body experience.”
Sevenoaks has great plans for her winnings, including buying a new house, a new truck and even growing the family with the addition of a furry, four-legged friend.
“My son has always wanted a dog but we could never have one living in an apartment,” added Sevenoaks. “Now we can, once we buy a new home!”
Sevenoaks, who loves her job and intends to keep working, also plans to enjoy some travel and adventure in Australia and New Zealand.
She purchased her winning ticket at the Tsawwassen Thrifty Foods in Delta.
