Brothers celebrate record $2.5 million Scratch & Win prize in B.C.

Not only are Daniel and Kenneth Boylan the newest millionaires on Vancouver Island, they have the distinction of being record breakers.

Daniel and Kenneth are from Mill Bay and Cobble Hill respectively, and won $2.5 million playing $250 Million Golden Treasures. Their win is the largest Scratch & Win prize ever won in B.C. The $250 Million Golden Treasures Scratch & Win has the largest prize pool ever of $250 million, and top prizes of $2.5 million.

“We haven’t stopped smiling since we won,” laughed Kenneth. “It’s been nothing but brotherly hugs and kisses. It’s like we’re dreaming!”

The brothers are planning to continue that dream by staying close to home.

“We live in the most beautiful towns,” beamed Daniel. “We’re going to buy some property here and develop them.”

The winning $250 Million Golden Treasures ticket was purchased at the South Duncan Bench Road Co-op in Duncan.

Every time a Scratch & Win ticket is purchased in B.C., it funds programs across the province. Learn more here. BCLC offers socially responsible gambling entertainment while generating income to benefit all British Columbians. Remember, play for fun, not to make money. For more information visit
