Globetrotting in the cards for $1 million Surrey winner

16/02/2017

It was a good thing Thi Nguyen’s husband insisted on checking her Lotto Max ticket twice.

“I checked the ticket and didn’t think I won,” exclaimed Nguyen. “My husband kept it and checked it again. Turns out it was a winner!”

Nguyen won a $1 million Maxmillions prize on the February 10, 2017 Lotto Max draw, and is wasting no time making plans with her winnings.

Her to-do list includes a celebration dinner, helping out her children and a lot of travelling.

“I’m going to visit my daughters in Toronto,” smiled Nguyen. “Next I’ll go on a cruise, and then go to Hong Kong and Macau!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Save-On-Foods on 152nd Street in Surrey.
