It’s all about family and travel for Vancouver Lotto Max winner

Joanne Fraser couldn’t believe she became a millionaire after winning a $1 million Maxmillion prize in the January 6, 2017 Lotto Max draw.

“I thought I had won $1,000 when I first checked my ticket,” recalled Fraser. “Then I counted the zeroes and it was a million dollars!”

Fraser has a large family and says she will use the money to help relatives.

“I’m going to share the win with my family,” smiled Fraser. “I want to help my son buy a house, and treat my sister to a special day out.”

Fraser also has plans to travel the world and satisfy her wanderlust.

“I would love to go on a safari, and go to Scotland and Norway to see where my family comes from!”

The winning ticket was purchased at the Real Canadian Superstore on Marine Drive in Vancouver.
