Loyal Player from Edmonton Cashes In Maxmillion Prize

A visit to Courtenay, B.C. will be a trip to remember for Kenneth Woods from Edmonton, Alberta. Not wanting to miss a draw on the national game, Woods purchased a Lotto Max ticket while visiting Vancouver Island: a decision that turned out to be the greatest highlight of his trip. Woods matched all seven numbers and won a $1 million dollar Maxmillion prize from the Lotto Max draw on April 18, 2018.

“I was at my friend’s house, checking the ticket and I went through the Maxmillion numbers one by one. I couldn’t believe that I matched all the numbers,” said Woods.

As for plans with his million dollars, Woods says he will buy a brand new truck and invest the rest. “I can’t wait to tell my kids,” he said, adding he will celebrate with family and friends in Edmonton.

Woods purchased the winning ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart in Courtenay, B.C.
