Nelson Winner Snacks On $500,000 Win15/03/2018
Christopher Kling went to the convenience store looking for a snack but came out with a lot more. Kling matched all seven numbers and won a $500,000 prize from the Lotto Max MAXMILLION draw on February 23, 2018. The $1 million MAXMILLION prize was split with another winner from Ontario, who matched the same seven numbers.
“I was feeling hungry and looking for a snack when I remembered I had a lottery ticket in my wallet to check,” said Kling. “I recalled handing my ticket to the retailer – and the rest was a big noisy blur with a lot of flashing lights!”
At first, Kling thought the retailer was kidding about the big win. He finally believed the news when the retailer started jumping up and down with tears of joy.
“My first thought was, ‘This stuff doesn’t happen to me,’ but as the shock wore off I couldn’t help but get excited, too,” said Kling. “I’m really looking forward to buying a new truck for myself. The rest is going in the bank.”
Kling can now enjoy all the snacks his heart desires from behind the wheel of his new truck.
Kling purchased the winning ticket at Stuart’s News in Nelson.
