New Houses for ‘Set for Life’ Construction Worker

Antonio Herrera-Gomez of New Westminster is incredibly happy after winning Set for Life and being $675,000 richer.

Herrera-Gomez, a construction worker, had a coffee break to remember after making his winning purchase.

“I wanted to check the ticket before I left the store. The lady behind the counter said the computer froze and that I’d won!” recalled Herrera-Gomez. “My heart was pounding and I thought I was going to have a heart attack.”

After sharing the good news with family, Herrera-Gomez says he feels excited for the future.

“It feels amazing. I can’t believe it!” smiled Herrera-Gomez. “I plan to build a house in Mexico and buy a home here. This win is going to allow me to do so many things. I feel so happy!”

The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased at the Punjab Food Centre on Main Street in Vancouver.

Every time a Scratch & Win ticket is purchased in B.C., it funds programs across the province. Learn more here. BCLC offers socially responsible gambling entertainment while generating income to benefit all British Columbians. Remember, play for fun, not to make money. For more information visit
