Janet R. Holding big cheque

Winning Set for Life ticket is the gift that keeps on giving

15/01/2018

Janet Rube from Langley is ‘Set for Life’ thanks to the Scratch & Win ticket that she received as a gift. She had forgotten about the ticket until she discovered it while looking for some paper work. To her surprise, she scratched and won the grand prize of $675,000, just a month before the ticket’s expiry date.

“I called my kids right away to share the news,” recalled Rube. “I was still in shock myself as I told them the news. They are so happy for me but it’s still so surreal!”

The winning Set for Life ticket is the gift that will keep on giving.

“I plan to make a few renovations to the house but will save the rest for the future,” Rube said.

The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased at the Save-On-Foods on Fraser Highway in Langley.

Every time a Scratch & Win ticket is purchased in B.C., it funds programs across the province. Learn more here.
