Amanda Hobson

Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President, Finance and Corporate Services

As the CFO and Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services, Amanda leads the team that provides financial, administration, procurement and facility services to the organization and acts as Government liaison regarding financial matters. Amanda joined BCLC in September 2013 as Director of Decision Support and assumed responsibility for the overall Financial Planning and Analysis of the company in September 2014. With a passion for driving organizational excellence, she has been instrumental in transforming BCLC’s finance function to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness in financial planning, reporting and decision making.

Amanda began her career in finance 15 years ago with Deloitte where she earned her Chartered Accountant designation in Calgary, Alberta. After five years in public practice, she joined Enbridge Inc. and then CHC Helicopter where she led financial reporting, treasury and investor relations. In her role as Director of Treasury for CHC, she managed global banking and investor relations through financial restructurings and public debt offerings while maintaining responsibility for foreign exchange, interest rate risk management and hedge strategies of the Corporation and its various subsidiaries, operating in more than 30 countries. Prior to joining BCLC, Amanda was Corporate Controller for Pinnacle Renewable Energy Group where she developed and managed the finance team through a significant period of change for the organization. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Victoria.
