Olena Akusova couldn’t believe what she was seeing when the amount of $95,174.70 flashed across the screen as she checked her Lotto 6/49 ticket from the March 10, 2021 draw.
The Surrey resident purchased the ticket from Shoppers Drug Mart on 200th Street in Langley and it was there that she checked her ticket and found out the news.
“I saw the amount across the screen…I didn’t trust my eyes and had to check again,” she said. “I didn’t think it was true and thought I had made a mistake and asked the retailer to check.”
Akusova plans to invest her prize and says “It feels amazing” to be a winner.
