Nikola Zvijerac says his number-one priority is taking care of his family and now that he is $153,150 richer from the BC/49 draw on April 7, 2021, he plans on sharing his new wealth with the people who mean the most to him.
The New Westminster resident purchased his ticket from the Gilley Town Pantry on Kingsway in Burnaby and first found out the exciting news after checking his numbers on bclc.com.
“I saw I had matching numbers…I was shocked and also had joy at that time,” he recalled. “Shocked is what crossed my mind!”
Zvijerac couldn’t wait to share the news with his daughter. “She was very shocked to hear,” he exclaimed.
The B.C. winner plans to put some of his prize towards paying off his mortgage and will also share some with his family.
“Sharing is what I do. My number-one priority is taking care of my children and grandchildren. I will continue to share with them,” he added.
