When Wah Baw realized he’d scored $100,000 on a Gold Mine 9X Scratch & Win ticket, he knew right away that he wanted to put his prize towards a new home for his family.
The Surrey resident purchased the ticket from Sky Stop Convenience store on City Parkway and was at the mall when he decided to check his ticket on a self-checker.
“I checked my ticket on the machine and it showed that I was a winner,” Baw recalled. “I was so surprised!”
Baw immediately called his son to share the amazing news. “I called him since I was at a loss of what to do. I was still in shock!”
Baw says this win means a lot for him and his family and looks forward to celebrating with loved ones when it’s safe to do so.
