Local Victoria Fisherman Philip Louie was on land for his latest catch - a $50,000 Keno win from a draw on July 5, 2021.
Louie purchased the winning ticket from the BCLC kiosk at the Bay Centre. He said ‘yes’ to the Keno Bonus before the draw which multiplied his win by five when he matched seven of the 20 numbers drawn, taking his total prize from $10,000 to $50,000.
On how he plans to celebrate, Louie said he plans to make some upgrades to his boat and take a much-needed vacation.
“I have an 18-foot boat and want to buy myself a new outboard motor,” Louie said. “I work on a fishing boat but I love spending my time on my own boat. I have 10 days off coming up and plan to…take it easy on my boat.”
