Port Moody Winner

Ryan Spibey has been dreaming of winning big and travelling the world and, after scratching his way to $675,000 playing Set for Life, he feels like he’s on top of it.

“I always thought one day it could be me… I dreamed of winning and the feeling is like being on top of the world,” Spibey explained.

The Port Moody resident purchased his ticket from Petro-Canada on Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby and was having coffee when he decided to scratch his ticket.

“I just happened to be at Starbucks and there was nobody around,” he recalled. “It was really special for me. I was in shock!”

Spibey shared the news with his parents, who were overjoyed to hear the news.

“They were just shocked and my mom actually started crying tears of joy for me,” he said.

To celebrate, Spibey treated his family to a steak and lobster dinner. He looks forward to using some of his prize to visit Japan and the South Pacific with them.

“This will change my life. Everyone has dreams and travelling is the highest on my dream list,” Spibey added. “It’s very exciting.”
