Upon discovering he won $100,000 playing BCLC’s Set for Life Scratch & Win ticket, all Robert Ackerman could do in that moment was look at his ticket in silence.
“I was at home and I stood there for a few minutes and just looked at it,” he recalled of the moment he realized he won. “I got my glasses to make sure it was true.”
The Victoria resident called his sister right away to share the news.
“She was cheering while I was still in shock,” he said.
Thanks to his prize, Ackerman looks forward to moving into a new home and also plans to do a bit of travelling. He purchased his ticket from Save-On-Foods on Foul Bay Road.
“It feels pretty darn good,” he added.
