Jeanette Perks admits that finding out she was exactly $47,849.70 richer from the November 27, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw left her in quite a shock.
“I scanned it and thought, ‘wait a minute, this can’t be real,’” she recalled. “It was a blur; I was shaking and freaking out!”
The Victoria resident purchased her ticket from Rexall on Douglas Street and was at home when she discovered her win.
“I kept re-scanning the ticket and had to tell my daughter. She was in shock.”
Perks plans to save her prize and celebrated her windfall with her family over the holidays.
