The holiday season for Andrei and Zinaida Milchevska will be ‘extra’ special this year, after winning the $500,000 Extra prize from the October 14, 2022 Lotto Max Draw.
“I was at work during a night shift, and I scanned the ticket on the Lotto! App and saw it was a winner,” recalled Andrei. “Then I called my wife to tell her and woke her up – we both could not believe it!”
The Saskatoon residents visit B.C. regularly for work and vacation and are celebrating with a nice dinner out.
The couple plans to use its winnings to help friends and family.
On how it feels to win?
“We just can’t believe it,” said Andrei.
The Milchevskas purchased the winning ticket at Petro Canada in Wonowon on Highway 97.
So far in 2022, B.C. lottery players have redeemed more than $43 million in winnings from the Extra and more than $168 million from Lotto Max. Lotto Max is a nationwide lottery game drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays after 7:30 p.m. (PST).
