Patrick Stoetzner Hale was talking to his friend at home when he found out he won a whopping $675,000 after scratching and checking his Set For Life ticket on BCLC’s Lotto! app.
“I was in shock, but super excited to tell my best friend from way back,” he recalled of the moment he realized he won Set For Life’s top prize.
The Burnaby resident plans on purchasing a car and some real estate with his winnings.
Hale purchased the ticket at Mountain Village Market on Cinnamon Drive in Burnaby.
On how it feels to win?
“Winning just feels unreal. A lot of things seemed out of reach before that aren’t anymore, which is cool.”
