Kimberly Penzkofer enjoys fishing in her free time, and just reeled in the opportunity to purchase her first home in the near future after splitting a Maxmillions prize with another ticket purchased in Delta from the May 27, 2022 Lotto Max draw.
The Kamloops resident had just arrived home from a shopping trip when she decided to scan her ticket using BCLC’s Lotto! app.
“I checked the ticket while sitting in my truck and when I went inside my mom asked me what was wrong,” she recalled of the moment she realized she won.
“I never thought it could happen,” Penzkofer exclaimed. “I had to scan it on the app a few times!”
Penzkofer’s mom reacted emotionally to the amazing news.
“She cried!”
Penzkofer purchased her ticket from Chevron on 8th Street and will take her time looking for a house to purchase.
“Reality hasn’t set in just yet,” she said. “I’ll buy a house eventually.”
