November 29, 2022

William Boutilier wanted to be ‘extra’ sure he won the lottery and even double checked his ticket with the retailer after winning a $500,000 Extra prize from the November 18, 2022 Lotto Max draw.

“A coworker mentioned someone may not show up at work because someone won in Fort St. John,” recalled Boutilier. “That’s when I checked my ticket on the Lotto! App and found out I won!”

The Charlie Lake resident was most excited to share the news with his wife, who didn’t believe him at first.

Apart from celebrating with his family, Boutilier plans to save some of his winnings for his sons.

On how it feels to win?

“I am speechless and overwhelmed. This win makes life financially less stressful and will set my boys up for the future.”

Boutilier purchased and validated his winning ticket at the Q Mart on 100 Avenue in Fort St. John.
