It was a million-dollar Saturday for Gregory Eden, who just happened to pick up a Lotto 6/49 ticket for the February 19, 2022 draw worth $1-million during his morning coffee outing.

The Vancouver resident purchased and checked his ticket from 7-Eleven on Burrard Street and initially thought he won $1,000.

“I saw there were too many zeros so I kept checking it,” he recalled of the moment he realized he was a millionaire. “My first thought was, ‘I can’t believe it!’”

Eden was very excited to share the news with his family.

“They were so happy as they knew they were going to be getting some help,” he said.

In addition to helping his family members, Eden plans to take a warm tropical holiday.

“It feels really good to be able to help the family. I’ve always wanted to take a really nice holiday which I will soon be able to make a reality,” Eden exclaimed.

On how it feels to win $1 million?

“Unbelievable! It’s quite the experience,” he added.
