An ordinary trip to the gas station turned out to be anything but for Tamara Amyotte and Louie Rezansoff, as a spur-of-the-moment decision to pick up an 88 Fortunes Scratch & Win ticket netted them $100,000.
The Prince George residents purchased the ticket from Super Save Gas on Victoria Street and were in the truck when they decided to scratch the ticket.
“We just won $100,000,” Amyotte shouted after discovering they won. “Oh my goodness!”
Rezansoff was speechless for a moment before he could reply.
“I must be seeing things,” he finally exclaimed.
Amyotte couldn’t wait to share the news with her family friend.
“She asked if I was joking and told me not to joke about that,” Amyotte said with a chuckle.
As for their plans for the win, they both look forward to helping out family and friends and Rezansoff is going to put a down payment on a house. Amyotte looks forward to purchasing some new furniture with her portion.
“This win means a lot to me. It will change my life considerably,” Amyotte said.
