Maple Ridge Community Gaming Centre Celebrates Grand Opening

25/10/2013

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and BCLC are pleased to officially welcome players to Chances Maple Ridge. This newly constructed, entertainment facility took nearly 11 months to complete and features a mix of modern and industrial style reflecting some of the early industries in Maple Ridge and along Fraser River.

Chances Maple Ridge is a vibrant entertainment venue offering 175 slot machines, 192 bingo seats (electronic and paper), and a distinctive bar-restaurant called The Well. As an extension of the restaurant, a portable entertainment stage will be built to showcase acts such as local bands and performers.

Up to 600 guests will have the opportunity to enjoy exceptional entertainment offerings in addition to The Well with a central fireplace and TV’s showing popular sporting events, like the Grey Cup or World Series.

The property includes the development of a park area for all to enjoy along with a patio which is linked to the restaurant. The facility also includes a flex space available to be rented out or donated for community events.
The new facility employs 86 people and will generate increased host local government payments for the City of Maple Ridge. Host local governments receive ten percent of the net income from slot machines operating at community gaming centres within their jurisdiction.

Chances Maple Ridge is located at 22710 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge. This facility replaces the existing Maple Ridge Community Gaming Centre located on 224th Street. The new Chances will function as a regional prize payout centre. Prizes of $1000-$9999.99 can be claimed Monday to Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.
