New House and Car in the Cards for Langford Lotto Max Winner

After hearing a winning Lotto Max ticket was purchased in Victoria and checking the numbers online, Jason Illingworth was overjoyed to discover he held the winning ticket. He matched 6/7 numbers plus the bonus to win $928,162.90.

The ticket, a quick pick, was purchased on February 19th for the February 21st draw at the Chevron on Goldstream Avenue in Langford.

Describing himself as very happy, shocked and surprised the self-employed Illingworth says he intends to make one or two big purchases with his big win before tucking the rest away for retirement: “I have a few plans for the money. First and foremost I am buying a Corvette! I have been looking for a while and this win has sealed the deal! I am looking at a high end Corvette and a house with a garage to park it in, somewhere in Victoria!”

The reality of his new situation has yet to sink in but that hasn’t stopped Illingworth from revelling in his newfound wealth: “I am very happy and pleasantly surprised! It still doesn’t feel real. It will once the cheque is in the bank…I am going to invest the money wisely and secure my retirement fund too.”

This Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot is $50 million plus 20 Maxmillion prizes of $1 million each.

Lotto Max can be played at all lottery retailers and online at, with tickets available until 6 p.m. (PT) on Friday. Winning numbers and group release forms can be found online at
