Padelis and Michelle Kamaretsos holding big cheque

Parents-To-Be Delighted with $500,000 Nest Egg

The timing couldn’t be better for Padelis and Michelle Kamaretsos of Victoria, who already feel they hit the jackpot with a baby on the way. Winning the lottery is just the icing on the cake!

The Kamaretsos’ had heard about a winning ticket sold in Victoria but didn’t think to check their ticket until a few days later. To their surprise, they matched all seven numbers to win the $500,000 Maxmillion prize from the June 8, 2018 Lotto Max draw, splitting the $1 million Maxmillion prize with another winning ticket sold in Vancouver.

“We are expanding our family, so this prize will make such a difference in our lives,” said Padelis. “The timing of this couldn’t have been more perfect.”

Once the baby arrives, and the newborn fog has lifted, the Kamaretsos’ are excited to plan their first family vacation together.

“I can’t pop a bottle of champagne right now but celebrations will soon be in order,” said Michelle.

Shell gas station on Burnside Road in Saanich sold the winning ticket.
