Board of Directors

Dusty Kelly

Dusty Kelly is the Secretary and Business Agent of the Vancouver Musicians’ Association, Local 145, an affiliated local of the Canadian Federation of Musicians (CFM). She is the first woman to hold this position in its 117 year-history and manages their labour relations, collective agreement negotiations, and the promotion of 1,900-plus member musicians in mainland BC. She was recently appointed to the CFM’s Standards Committee and represents the VMA on the BC Federation of Labour Executive Council.

Ms. Kelly is the past Vice-President of IATSE Local 891 (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees) and has served Local 891 in varying leadership roles since 1996. Ms. Kelly served as the worker representative Director for Actsafe - the health and safety association for BC's Motion Picture and Performing Arts and Live Entertainment sectors. In addition, Ms. Kelly is a member of the board of directors of Women in Film and Television Vancouver facilitating their mentorship programs. Ms. Kelly is also a member of the IATSE (International) Women's Committee, working to advance the unlimited potential of women in entertainment, and a director on Intersections – Media Opportunities for Youth Society, and Performing Arts Lodges Vancouver respective boards.

Ms. Kelly joined the Board of BCLC in December 2018.
