Board of Directors
Greg Moore was the Mayor of the City of Port Coquitlam from 2008 to 2018 and is the former Chair of the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors.
Mr. Moore has a long career in public service. He spent a decade as a city employee prior to being elected to Port Coquitlam Council in 2002. Among his accomplishments, Mr. Moore participated in the development of the Translink Mayors’ Plan, a 10-year, $7.5 billion plan for transit and transportation. He founded the National Zero Waste Council, a cross-sector leadership initiative that seeks to advance a national waste prevention and reduction agenda in Canada. In addition, Mr. Moore chaired the Union of British Columbia Municipalities Housing Committee, which released A Home For Everyone: A Housing Strategy for British Columbians (2018) and Strong Fiscal Futures, A Blueprint for Strengthening BC Local Governments’ Finance System (2013). Mr. Moore also led the cross-sector Regional Prosperity Initiative, which brings together stakeholders from around Metro Vancouver to work collaboratively on the regional economy.
Mr. Moore joined the Board of BCLC in November, 2018.
