Amanda Hobson

Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President, Finance and Corporate Services

As the CFO and Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services, Amanda is responsible for the financial management, procurement, and corporate services of BCLC. She is a strategic and results oriented finance leader with more than 20 years’ experience in finance, primarily in large and international public companies specializing in finance, treasury, investor relations, foreign exchange and interest rate risk management. Amanda was recognized as one of BC’s Most Influential Women in Finance by BC Business in 2019, named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2018 by WXN and recognized as 2017 BC CFO of the Year in the Emerging Leader category by Business in Vancouver and CPABC. As a Chartered Director, Amanda currently serves on the Board of the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation where she is Treasurer and Chair of the Finance, Investment and Audit Committee as well as the Board of the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, where she serves as Chair of the Governance and HR Committee and is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. She is also a member of FEI Canada, the BC Council of CFOs and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the TRU School of Business and Economics.

Passionate about leadership and talent development, Amanda is a highly respected leader at BCLC. She is a strong advocate for the development and success of women at BCLC through her role as Executive Sponsor of AIM (Acts of Kindness, Inspire, Mentor), a grassroots group that was formed at BCLC to bring a community of women together for professional development, empowerment, and access to senior leadership. She is also the proud Executive Sponsor of BCLC’s Pride Committee and an active supporter of the Kamloops Food Bank.
