Interim Chief Executive Officer and President
Greg Moore joined BCLC as the Interim President and CEO in September, 2019. Prior to joining the organization, Greg served on BCLC’s Board of Directors, which he joined in November, 2018.
Greg was previously the Mayor of the City of Port Coquitlam from 2008 to 2018 and was the Chair of the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors from 2011 to 2018.
Greg has a long career in public service. He spent a decade as a City Planner prior to being elected to Port Coquitlam Council in 2002. Among his accomplishments, he participated in the development of the Translink Mayors’ Plan, a 10-year, $7.5 billion plan for transit and transportation. He founded the National Zero Waste Council, a cross-sector leadership initiative that seeks to advance a national waste prevention and reduction agenda in Canada. In addition, Greg chaired the Union of British Columbia Municipalities Housing Committee, which released A Home For Everyone: A Housing Strategy for British Columbians (2018) and Strong Fiscal Futures, A Blueprint for Strengthening BC Local Governments’ Finance System (2013). Greg also led the cross-sector Regional Prosperity Initiative, which brings together stakeholders from around Metro Vancouver to work collaboratively on the regional economy.
