In 2023/24, thanks to our players, BCLC generated $1.5 billion in net income for the Province of B.C., which distributed it in many ways to benefit British Columbians:

Spread the Local Love

As we saw the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic had across our province, BCLC remained committed to supporting communities throughout B.C. For two weeks in February 2021, BCLC teamed up with 10 charitable organizations to launch a unique online fundraising experience, “Spread the Local Love”. The campaign supported local businesses and charitable organizations in municipalities across the province.

Victoria Hospitals Foundation

BCLC was proud to support Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s 2020 Visionary initiative, a unique campaign held in lieu of the annual Visions Gala fundraiser, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. BCLC has proudly supported the Victoria Hospitals Foundation and the Vancouver Island communities since 1991 and the Visions Gala since 2016.

Kamloops Symphony Orchestra

In December 2021, BCLC presented the virtual broadcast of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra’s annual “Christmas with the KSO” concert. BCLC has been proudly supporting the arts community in Kamloops since 1985.
