“This Can’t be Happening!”: Penticton Resident Scores $100K Scratch & Win Prize

Tyrone Wooley’s recent $100,000 Luxury Crossword Scratch & Win prize left him puzzled from disbelief before he clued in that it was, in fact, real life.

The Penticton resident purchased his ticket from the Canco on Government Street and was at home enjoying a cup of coffee when he discovered the win.

“I thought, ‘This can’t be happening!’ I checked with my eyes first and then on my Lotto! App to verify that it was real,” he said. 

Wooley couldn’t wait to share the news with “everyone” he knew.

“I went on blabber-mouth mode. People were super happy for me!”

The lottery winner plans to purchase his dream car with his prize — a cream-coloured Mini Cooper with black racing stripes — and looks forward to helping out the people he loves. 

“This win will change my life completely,” he said.
