Local Impact in Kamloops

Since 2017, Cascades Casino Kamloops has been the home of the annual Kamloops Drive Thru Breakfast in support of the Kamloops Food Bank and the Starfish Backpack program. In addition to making a donation of $3,500, 76 Cascades Casino Kamloops team members provided 152 volunteer hours. The program distributes backpacks to SD73 students in need, to ensure they have enough healthy, easy-to-make meals to get through the weekend.

During the 2023 holiday season, Chances Casino Kamloops partnered with Operation Red Nose to ensure a safe ride home for those celebrating with family and friends.

Tranquille Market Corridor

In 2023, the City of Kamloops allocated its share of provincial gambling revenue from hosting Chances Kamloops and Cascades Casino Kamloops to improve the Tranquille Market Corridor. This project made improvements to benches, sidewalks, irrigation and other beautification items.

Gambling revenue also assisted with the Sandman Centre Broadcasting Upgrade, which made it possible for Kamloops to proudly host both the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the CHL Memorial Cup in 2023.
