This month kicks off the 31st season of Kamloops’s Music in the Park – a flagship community event that BCLC has been proud to sponsor since its launch in 1994.

It’s one of the many ways BCLC is involved in the arts community in Kamloops – where we’ve proudly headquartered our head office since 1985. For the past 40 years, we’ve held several partnerships with local non-profit arts organizations, as well as the City of Kamloops, to help bring people together for shared, creative and fun experiences across our community.

In addition to Music in the Park, BCLC proudly partners with Kamloops Art Gallery Western Canada Theatre and the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra among others.

“At BCLC, we believe that it’s important to support experiences that foster connection,” says Laura Piva-Babcock, Director, Communication and Government Relations. “When people feel more connected to each other and to their community, we all thrive.”

An important component of this work is BCLC’s Community Ticketing Program which is active in Kamloops – as well as in communities across the province. Non-profits who wish to attend select arts, culture or sporting events put on by our partners can apply to the program to get free access for individuals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.

“These Kamloops organizations help create memorable moments of connection in our community and BCLC is really proud to be able to support them because their programming and events have a positive, lasting impact in our community,” Piva-Babcock said. “At BCLC, we believe that by working with partners like this, together we win.”
