Together, we’re making B.C. even better

Thanks to our players, together, we have delivered $29 billion in profits back to the Province of B.C. over the past 40 years. That’s because what’s played here, stays here – profits from BCLC stay right here in B.C. to support communities like yours.

So, whether you’re purchasing a Scratch & Win ticket  from your neighbourhood convenience store, playing a slot machine with friends at your local casino, or placing a bet on PlayNow while watching the game with neighbours, together we’re making B.C. even better.

Profits from your play support health care, education and community programs

The Province of B.C. created BCLC in 1985 with the purpose of giving back to B.C. and helping our communities grow. BCLC’s profits go back into British Columbia’s provincial budget, which helps fund things like community health programs, health care facility upgrades, education and a wide range of non-profit organizations.

BCLC also directly supports community initiatives in B.C. through our sponsorship and community outreach programs. We’ve proudly volunteered and contributed to events and organizations across B.C. and strive to bring people together through shared moments of connection.

How BCLC helps to power jobs in B.C. communities

We’re proud to say all our employees are based in B.C. – whether at our offices in Kamloops and Vancouver, or throughout the province in communities where we proudly do business.

Our 36 casinos and community gaming centres, in partnership with our service providers, help to create numerous jobs within their cities.

We also partner with 3,400 lottery retailers throughout B.C. to bring gambling entertainment to your neighbourhood.
