Giddy Up, Kamloops! BCLC Announces Performers for 11th Annual Midsummer Music Jam Concert

Break out those dancing shoes Kamloops: BCLC, the City of Kamloops and New Country 103.1 are thrilled to announce two Canadian country music artists for this year’s Midsummer Music Jam concert on Wednesday, July 23. 

Headlining the concert is country music icon Aaron Pritchett. With over 30 Juno, Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA), Western Canadian Music Awards and BC Country Music Association Award nominations under his belt, including multiple wins for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and a CCMA SOCAN Songwriter of the Year award, the Terrace B.C.-born artist has been a household name in Canadian country music for over two decades. Pritchett continues to push the boundaries of the country music genre, landing him 13 Top Ten hits, including the pop crowd-pleaser Worth a Shot and the heart string-pulling ballad, Warm Safe Place

Opening the night is East Coast-born country artist Julian Austin who will be performing his biggest hits along with his brand-new song Still Over There. Throughout the years, Julian has released five albums, for which he’s received several music nominations and accolades, including the Juno’s, Wrangler Rising Star and the Canadian Radio Music Awards, to name a few.

  • Food trucks open at 5:00 p.m. 
  • Concert starts at 7:00 p.m. 

Where: Riverside Park at the Rotary Bandshell 

BCLC will be on-site connecting with community members and celebrating its 40th anniversary with games, prizes and complimentary pieces of birthday cake, available while quantities last. The Kamloops Food Bank will also be on-site offering a 50/50, bottled water by donation and accepting non-perishable food donations.
