This month, BCLC and the PNE announced a new collaboration designed to foster human connection by providing non-profits and charity organizations with access to complimentary tickets to the BCLC Backyard.
Since 2022, BCLC has worked with partners across the province through its Community Ticketing Program, providing non-profit and charitable organizations with complimentary tickets to arts, cultural and sporting events. In 2025 alone, more than 1,700 tickets were distributed through the program to foster connection amongst volunteers, beneficiaries and supports and in recognition of the important work these organizations do in communities throughout B.C.
Over the past four years, BCLC has expanded its Community Ticketing Program to include more than 10 partners, providing tickets to non-profit and charitable organizations in 17 B.C. communities, including Kamloops, Victoria and Vancouver.
“For more than 40 years, BCLC has been bringing people together through shared moments of connection,” said Lara Gerrits, Director, Social Purpose, Partnerships and Engagement at BCLC. “The BCLC Backyard, in partnership with the PNE, is another way we’re creating opportunities for connection, including by increasing access to arts and entertainment in the Lower Mainland. It reflects both our purpose and our role as an entertainment company working to build and benefit in communities across B.C.”
The BCLC Backyard is part of a new state-of-the-art amphitheatre at the PNE, providing live entertainment and community gathering, creating opportunities for people to come together and make lasting memories year-round.
