Community Enhancements

In 2018, the City of Vernon allocated funds from its share of provincial gaming revenue for hosting Lake City Casino Vernon to to its Capital Design program, which provides planning for projects identified as priority to enhance and maintain the city’s infrastructure and community services. Among the projects were improvements to 30th Street, 29th Street and 39th Avenue, which will be completed over a decade of work that will offer a safe and seamless north-south transportation connection for pedestrians, cyclists, transit and vehicles.
