Millennium Park and Ponds

In 2017, the City of Castlegar used its share of provincial gaming revenue for hosting Chances Castlegar to support its capital program and invest in initiatives that contribute to life in the community. A series of enhancements to the award-winning Millennium Park and ponds included new sports courts and an off-leash dog park. This sprawling 23-hectare park near downtown boasts a variety of amenities for residents and visitors to enjoy, such as the largest bike park in the Kootenays. It also has three river-fed swimming pools, tennis courts, kids’ play area, picnic grounds and much more.
