With the help of alumni from the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and BC Lions, Hastings Racecourse was able to present Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Covenant House Vancouver, and the BC Lions Alumni Foundation Support Fund, each with a cheque for $2,000. The funds were raised at Hastings’ Sports Alumni Day where the three charities shared in the event proceeds.
